I have started to make a little book using the covers of an old issue of a horrible girly "mag". I was inspired by a ransom note i seen in a film and originally just planned to make the word collages, (basically taking the mick out of the magazine). I later had the idea of illustrating them in the styles of some of my favorite illustrators. One of these is Tom Gauld (see Cabanon press) whose lovely methods of cross hatching inspired me to create some of my own variations.
